   Max Linder, the famous comedian, who has won such favor in the eyes of the American moving picture goers, and who spends most of his leisure time at the Joinville factory, was one of the last to leave the plant, and waded three-quarters of a mile through water up to his waist when he left the factory. Could the American audience have seen Max in that predicament, it would have probably convulsed them with laughter, and Max himself remarked "Si cela continue, nous serons obliges de jouer en costume de bain!"
